Meet Dr. Ken Dennis, DPM – Houston Podiatrist

Dr. Kenrick “Ken” Dennis is a native Houstonian who has been caring for the feet and ankles of his neighbors for more than four decades. He grew up in the Memorial area and graduated from Memorial High School in 1974, so when he says Houston is home, he means it.
Dr. Dennis earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin and his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the California College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed a two-year residency at the U.T. Health Science Center San Antonio, where he was named Chief Resident in 1985. In 1986, he completed a Fellowship in Training through the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine, laying the foundation for his expertise in running and athletic injuries.
A Conservative, Patient-First Approach
Dr. Dennis believes patients deserve to understand all of their options. He starts with conservative treatments such as stretching, padding, footwear changes, and custom foot orthotics, and he recommends surgery only when it’s truly needed. Many patients seek him out for second opinions after being told surgery is their only choice.
His clinical focus includes heel pain and plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails, Morton’s neuroma, plantar warts, bunions, and sports injuries. When surgery is necessary, he operates at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital, where he serves on the Credentials Committee, and at Cy-Fair Surgery Center.
Family Life Outside the Office
Dr. Dennis and his wife, Kathy, have lived in the Memorial area since 1986, where they raised two children. They spend as many weekends as possible at their farm in New Ulm, Texas.
