New Patients at Our Houston Podiatry Office

New patient visit with a podiatrist in Houston, TX
If you’ve never been to a podiatrist before, you may feel a little nervous about your first visit. Don’t be! Millions of people see a podiatrist every year for help with their feet, ankles, and lower legs, and our team at Kenrick J. Dennis, DPM makes the process simple, comfortable, and stress-free.

The average person takes thousands of steps every day. Add Houston’s mix of concrete, stairs, and uneven surfaces, and it’s easy to see why foot pain is so common. Whether you’re dealing with mild discomfort or severe pain, seeing a foot doctor early can keep a small problem from becoming a bigger one. Your mobility is essential to living a full life, so don’t let pain hold you back.

Before Your First Visit

You can save time at check-in by completing our online new patient registration form or downloading paperwork from our online forms page. Please bring the following to your appointment:

  • Your insurance card and a photo ID
  • A list of current medications and allergies
  • Any X-rays, MRIs, or records related to your foot or ankle problem
  • The shoes you wear most often, including athletic shoes
  • A referral and authorization number if you have an HMO plan

What to Expect During Your Appointment

Dr. Ken Dennis will review your medical history, ask about your symptoms, and examine your feet, ankles, and gait. If needed, we can take X-rays in the office. Dr. Dennis will then explain your diagnosis and walk you through every treatment option, from conservative care like stretching, padding, and custom orthotics to in-office procedures and, when necessary, surgery.
